This season, Hollywood Vocal Studios Conservatory (HVSC) is excited to welcome acclaimed singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and performer Casey Abrams for an exclusive Acoustic Sessions masterclass focused on live performance, musical artistry, stage presence, and authentic artistic expression.

Known for his unmistakable voice, magnetic personality, and extraordinary musicianship, Casey Abrams has built a career that blends jazz, pop, blues, and contemporary music into a style that is entirely his own. Whether performing behind an upright bass, at the piano, or center stage as a vocalist, Casey’s performances are filled with spontaneity, storytelling, and an infectious joy that has captivated audiences around the world.

Originally from the mountain town of Idyllwild, California, Casey studied music at the renowned Idyllwild Arts Academy, where he trained under legendary jazz bassist Marshall Hawkins, whose career included performances with icons such as Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock. In recognition of his exceptional talent, Casey received the prestigious Sam Karam Award for Outstanding Musical Ability in 2009.

Casey first gained international recognition as a finalist on Season 10 of American Idol, finishing in 6th place after winning over millions of viewers with his distinctive artistry and unforgettable performances. He later performed alongside Jack Black during the American Idol finale and would go on to join Jack Black’s live jazz performances at the legendary Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood.

Following American Idol, Casey embarked on a three-month international arena tour with the Top 11 finalists before signing with Concord Records. His self-titled debut album, produced by Randy Jackson, Steve Jordan, and Martin Terefe, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart in 2012 and launched a successful national tour.

Since then, Casey has become a familiar face to millions through Postmodern Jukebox, where his performances have accumulated more than 100 million YouTube views. As both a featured vocalist and host of the internationally acclaimed touring ensemble, he continues to perform for audiences around the globe while collaborating with some of today’s most respected musicians.

Today, Casey remains an active touring artist and performer, continuing to inspire audiences with his versatility, musicianship, and unmistakable stage presence.

Registered guests are also invited to participate. *Participation for outside artists is contingent on available time. Attending performance class artist’s will have priority over mentors coaching.
