Born and raised in Ann Arbor MI, Stephan’s an alumni of the University of Michigan’s School of Music with a Bachelor of Science in Sound Engineering. A Los Angeles transplant since 2010, Stephan has extensive experience as frontman and songwriter for bands, music production, and guitar arrangements for vocalists, bringing a deep and varied understanding of how to utilize the guitar to best serve singers. Stephan’s musical contributions can be found on network and cable TV, commercial and indie films, Disney projects like ‘Club Mickey Mouse’, and filling out production music libraries for a variety of companies like Math Club Music and Frameworks Music in Los Angeles. With over seventeen years of experience teaching guitar, Stephan is also a compassionate educator who is excited to share his skills with this new crop of vocalists interested in supporting themselves on the instrument.
