Resources for the Los Angeles Music Community

Musicares

MusiCares is offering $1,500 in immediate financial assistance and a $500 grocery card to impacted music professionals. This is available to any music professionals with either 3 years employment or credit on 6 commercially-released records.

MusiCares also offers financial assistance and referrals for mental health. MusiCares and Amber Health are providing 6 in-person and virtual support groups specifically for those dealing with the aftermath of the Los Angeles wildfires. More info can be found on their website.

Guitar Center and the Guitar Center Foundation

Guitar Center Music Foundation and Guitar Center are supporting individuals and music programs who have lost instruments due to the Los Angeles wildfires. You can apply for a one-time grant to replace instruments through the application on their website.

Sweet Relief Musicians Fund

Sweet Relief Musicians Fund is providing immediate assistance to impacted music industry professionals who have made at least 50% of their income from music for 3+ years.

Entertainment Community Fund

Entertainment Community Fund is offering financial assistance to performing arts and entertainment professionals who have worked during the most recent six consecutive years (2019-2024) with a minimum annual income of $10,000 for three of those last six years.

Backline

Backline offers mental health support for US resident music industry professionals (year round) who earn at least 50% of their income from music. Their services are also available to partners and children. You can speak 1:1 with a case manager by filling out this form.

We are Moving the needle

We Are Moving the Needle provides micro grants for housing, transportation, and essentials to music producers, engineers, and creators in the Los Angeles area impacted by the LA wildfires.

THe SonA Foundation Songwriter Fund

The SONA Foundation Songwriter Fund provides financial aid via direct deposit, check, or digital wallet is for songwriters and composers based in and around the area of the fires with three recent songwriter and/or composer credits. The grant amount is $500. You can apply here.

Taking Care of Your Voice

The residual effects of Los Angeles wildfires are going to have a significant impact on the air quality, amongst other things. As a conservatory dedicated to the musical and professional development of singers, we strongly encourage those in our community to be cautious and proactive about taking care of their voices.
